Hey all,
So congratulations to myself, i got myself two new jobs, one as a French tutor for two young people at church and one as a French Translator for a friend's company. Both are not that many hours but still require commitment but at least now I can finance my expenses a little better and make use of my French skills! (to be honest I started getting lazy with my French grammar lately, Tommy knows, because I text him and the grammar is usually wrong, I mix up the conjugations!)
I am happy to be waking up early and still going to the gym and still feeling motivated to do everything. Thank God! I am happy with the kids now, they are mostly well behaved, and I also recruited some new helpers for the children's ministry so thank God, for another prayer answered.
School I am confident that I will be ok, October is the busy month though so please pray for me, especially because I am preaching for the kids and teaching Sunday school on top of that almost every week! I am not able to go to English service as a result of that! But praise God that I've been reading the Bible lately on my own and that is going well. Exciting stuff in 2 Chronicles, finally! (gotta get past the long lists of names first, then you get to the juicy stuff )
I still have time for friends though, for example me and Gloria have been talking more and we are having fun serving and hanging out together. Also I still have time to talk with Tommy (saw him on skype yesterday!) and it makes me happy too. I told Grandpa that Tommy and I are together and he says he is ok with me being with a white guy as long as he is a good guy. :) Yay!
Gotta follow up on my friends, hopefully all my friends will come to know Christ one day! :)

Discouragement
is a killer! Beloved, everything touched by discouragement dies, and I
speak of not only your health, finances, and relationships. But, I
speak of the responsibilities of your kingdom position and faith.
Refuse to allow negativity to keep you from the benefits of kingdom
living. Rise up with thanksgiving and trust Me to bring you through,
says the Lord.
Psalms 42:5 Why are you cast down, O my
soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet
praise Him for the help of His countenance.

It always happens...
Every time I drop a responsibility, I always pick up two eventually. Every time I want to say no to something, I end up regretting saying no. Half the time when I say yes to something, I also regret that I said yes. You never end up exactly doing what you want, but you make the best out of it. Think before you speak. Also, how you say it makes a world of difference.

Dear God,
Please untie the knots that are in my mind, my heart, and my life.
Remove the have nots, cannots, and do nots
Erase the will nots, may nots, might nots that may find a home in my heart.
Release me from the could nots, would nots, should nots that obstruct my life..
Please untie the knots that are in my mind, my heart, and my life.
Remove the have nots, cannots, and do nots
Erase the will nots, may nots, might nots that may find a home in my heart.
Release me from the could nots, would nots, should nots that obstruct my life..
And most of all, Dear God, I ask that you remove from my mind,
my heart, and my life all of the “am nots” that I have allowed to hold me back.
Especially the thought that I am not good enough.
Amen

Awesome rainy day
Today I went to the gym in the morning, cut my thumb on my umbrella, but other than that I had a great workout. Forgot my music but still worked out really well.
Then after lunch I went to Tyndale to study. I can concentrate a lot better at school, even though I still check facebook way more than I should. I did a lot of reading today though!
A prayer that I have recently is that I would be more diligent. That I would pick up after myself more, study more, be more responsible, do my very best in everything, and all in all, work smarter.
I plan to go to a girls conference next week Sat Sept 29th. If anyone wants to come with me, provided that you are a girl, then let me know! It's at a church in scarborough. I'm really looking forward to it, topics are confidence, self esteem, sexuality and how to be a woman of God.
I realized I'm pretty broke. But God has been speaking to me lately. Just yesterday, I randomly bumped into Karl, he saw me at the bus stop and decided to park his car and come out and say hi. He asked me where I was going and I said Tyndale. Then I told him he should go back to his car because he left his keys in there and someone could come and steal the car away.
Then the guy behind me said, you go to Tyndale? Why aren't you using the Student Metropass? I said, I can't, I'm not a student... well according to TTC their list says Tyndale is not a school. He said, Yes it is, I go to Tyndale. And he showed me his TTC metropass with the student ID. MAN! That saves me some dollars if I can get a student metropass! God is good!
Cuz if I wasn't a bit late, Karl wouldn't have seen me, and if Karl didn't ask me whether I was going somewhere, the guy behind me wouldn't have known I went to Tyndale, and yeah, man, that was an answer to prayer!
Also last Sat. night I was crying for various reasons including the fact that we don't have enough volunteers for children's ministry. Then the next day on Sunday Iris said she could volunteer. WHAT A BLESSING! God really listens, He just wants you to have faith and wait first!
God also spoke to me about finances in the Bible. I was reading proverbs because proverbs is Tommy's favourite book of the Bible, or one of his favourites anyway... and there were a lot of verses on giving money to the poor. At first due to my financial situation I was considering stopping my sponsorship to IJM (International Justice Ministries) which frees girls from prostitution among other works of justice. But God spoke to me saying that I should continue to support them, because the Bible says, Those who give to the poor lend to the Lord. The money will somehow be given back to you if you give to the poor.
So I went to financial aid at Tyndale and discovered that I could get 200 dollars free because of the church match financial aid program. And there is also this other program where you can get money for free as long as you pass your courses. So I'm applying to that. In addition, I found out Tyndale has an Urbana scholarship so I applied to that today as well. Praise God for free money!
I pray that God continues to speak to me as well as all my friends. Lifegroup is starting tomorrow and one of me and Sanche's prayer requests for the lifegroup is that we would all grow spiritually. So yeah I am expecting that! God will answer!!!!

I will train myself not to complain anymore!
Today my friend Simone posted on facebook a very inspiring article: http://ca.shine.yahoo.com/lessons-from-the--world-s-ugliest-woman----stop-staring-and-start-learning-.html
It is about a girl who can't gain weight, she has zero body fat and she looks really really really thin and gaunt. She was called the World's ugliest woman, and people keep staring at her. But now she is a successful motivational speaker, she is confident in her inner beauty, and she tells people to stop staring and start learning.
I will never again complain about how much tummy fat I have. Having her condition with zero body fat is way worse and if she can be happy about the way she looks, then I think I can too.
On another note... today the kids were extremely well behaved. I pray it continues to be this way. And thank God that He answered my prayer by sending another helper to help us with children's ministry. We really need the help!

I'm happier today
You guys are probably thinking, does this mean you were sad yesterday? Actually I was happy yesterday too, but the past two Fridays I have been somewhat sad and/or stressed. Today I feel much better. Maybe it has to do with me moving offices. Before, I used to be in an isolated four white walls office. Now I am in a brown cubicle in a more open area.
Maybe it also has to do with the fact that I have finished preparing for most of my responsibilities this weekend. Having more time to do things instead of rushing and stressing and cramming is much more happy.
Maybe it also has to do with the fact that I heard Tommy's voice over the past two days. :P
All in all, I thank God that I am happier today. Hope the Lord blesses your day too! :) God bless!
-----
Things I'm excited about:
-getting closer to God
-outreach to Chester Le community
-talent show tomorrow
-improving the children's ministry programs, making it more fun ( I hope! )
------
Things I'm thankful for:
-all the help offered for Talent Show
-my mom always cooking (but I have to learn, someday, I know)
-health going well
-ideas God gave me for the children
-friends and my "special friend"
-----
Things I'm praying to God for:
-more workers in children's ministry
-school, that I can concentrate
-that I stop being so lazy in the mornings so I can get my butt to the gym
-more chances to tell my friends about Jesus
-that my dad can become a Christian

I somehow feel better now
Thank God, I somehow feel better now. I feel that if I have just a bit of faith, I'll be okay.
Overwhelmed?
Yesterday I was so tired, I slept pretty much the whole day except to eat, go to the doctor to get more medicine (bipolar medicine) and go fix my violin.
I have a busy few days ahead. Tonight there is children's fellowship, there's another children's fellowship tomorrow as well as the LifeGroup leaders meeting, then I'm preaching to the kids on Sunday. I think I'm starting to feel overwhelmed. How am I going to survive when school starts and I also have to teach Sunday School?
I don't feel prepared for everything going on this weekend. I don't even know what I'm teaching on exactly. When I was praying with Nick today I started tearing up, I feel like I need God so much right now.
-----
Dear God,
I need your strength and energy to go on. Maybe I am overcommitting and overworking myself again. The Urbana fundraisers were easier to handle when I didn't have as much children's fellowship stuff to take care of. And there's also school. I feel that I also need more personal time with you. Please fill me up again, I feel like crying I'm not even sure why.

Never give up on something you really want. It’s difficult to wait, but worse to regret.

What do i want? well right now, personally, I want consistency in my walk with God, self-control when it comes to temptations, and Tommy :)
Obedience is hard in this world of instant gratification. I need to learn obedience out of thankfulness for what Jesus has done for me.

Waking up early makes me happy
Hey all,
Today I woke up at 7am even though my alarm was at 7:30am. I enjoy waking up early with no alarm. I get more stuff done and I feel more energetic than if I were to sleep in lazily.
Life is very busy, crazy busy I would say, but God is good. Like yesterday we made a lot of money with the car wash. And we plan to have another car wash maybe in three weeks. September is event and fundraising month!
School is coming up soon, have to work hard this year cuz of Systematic Theology course. Also I know I have to work hard with ministry because I am teaching Sunday school as well as Children's worship. Gotta figure out a good routine!
I can't live without music.
It's great to know that people like Cecilia and Walter still read my blog :) Thanks guys. And if you are still reading my blog but you are not Cecilia and Walter, thank you too, please give me a shout sometimes, why doesn't anyone comment?
Anyways, God bless you all and take care
