“To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything and your heart will be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact you must give it to no one, not even an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements. Lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket, safe, dark, motionless, airless, it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable. To love is to be vulnerable.”

Remember this every time you have a hard time
answering/taking up God's calling in your life due to fears, lies, or
even feelings of inadequacies:
"Brothers and sisters, think of
what you were when you were CALLED. Not many of you were wise by human
standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth.
BUT God CHOSE the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God CHOSE the
weak
things of the world to shame the strong. God CHOSE the lowly things of
this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to
nullify the things that are, so that NO ONE may boast before him.
It is BECAUSE of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for
us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.
Therefore, as it is written: “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.”
